With TIM Index Systems turns the iPod touch into a high-tech hospitality handheld. The application contains all functionalities to convert your handheld into a completely mobile POS. So not only ordering, but also changing, making reservations, splitting bills and showing recipes. All to be summoned and entered using just one single hand, practical and intuitive. Your employees are informed with a glimpse of the screen, their attention remains with the guests.

What do you get with TIM?
The hardware consists of an Apple iPod touch. The operating system is incredibly stabile, iPods simply do not crash. By using consumers electronics the costs and replacement value are well below those in the current market supply.

Index developed TIM as a routine instead of yet another little screen with buttons. Where traditional hospitality handhelds were limited to a number of buttons, TIM offers you a screen with a multitouch interface. This allows the handheld to be filled dynamically, adjusting itself to each and every situation. Sliding and scrolling for example enable browsing through checks or quickly viewing long checks . Since this requires less user actions, it will save time.

Tim in the future
Index Hospitality Systems will keep on developing TIM. The next functions are currently being tested and will be available shortly.

• Acceptance of creditcard payments;
• A manager module with reports and dashboards;
• Printing checks on portable printers;
• A Tablemanagementsystem – adjusting table statuses (e.g. clean, dirty, check printed);
• Pager functionality – sending messages to users;
• An interface with Hotelsystems for room charges.
